Give Your Eyes the Care They Deserve

Eye Disease Management Includes:

  • Comprehensive eye exam

Comprehensive eye exams are critical in catching sight-robbing eye diseases that typically don’t show early symptoms.

  • Diagnostic screening

Certain changes in your eyes can indicate eye conditions. Our optometrists can diagnose the disease and determine the cause of these changes.

  • Treatments and surgeries

We provide a wide range of treatments, including prescription eye drops and other medication. If needed, we'll refer you to the right specialist for eye surgery.

  • After care and follow-up

We provide follow-up exams and after-care treatments to help you manage your symptoms and safeguard your vision.

What Are the 4 Most Common Eye Diseases?

  • Diabetic Retinopathy

If you have diabetes, you should be aware of the risk of diabetic retinopathy. Elevated blood sugar can cause blood vessels in the eye to become inflamed or swell. In the early stages, you may not notice symptoms, but advanced diabetic retinopathy can cause blurred vision or eye inflammation.

    Diabetic retinopathy treatment includes:

    • Prescription medication
    • Laser surgeries
    • Anti-VEGF and steroid injections
    • Vitrectomy
  • Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness and often doesn’t show early symptoms. High pressure inside the eye causes glaucoma, and the purpose of glaucoma management is to reduce intraocular pressure.

    Glaucoma treatments include:

    • Prescription eye drops or medications
    • Laser procedures
    • Filtration surgery
    • Drainage tubes
    • Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS)
  • Cataracts

Cataracts are cloudy formations on the eye lens. They can make your vision blurry and distorted. To restore normal vision, an optometrist will recommend cataract surgery, which involves replacing the cloudy lens with an artificial intraocular lens.

  • Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration, or AMD, occurs when the macula or the central part of the retina deteriorates. This results in blurred and distorted vision.

There are two types of AMD: Dry AMD and Wet AMD.

Although there isn’t a treatment for dry AMD, lifestyle changes and specific supplements can help prevent further vision deterioration.

    Wet AMD treatments include:

    • Photodynamic therapy
    • Anti-VEGF injections
    • Laser photocoagulation

Working for an optical office I was weary sending my mom here cause of the recent reviews. However m... y mother enjoyed it even though she's a pretty decent critic. Like another lady said in the other reviews, it went well with her. Thanks guys!

Dr. Kim took care of me, and the entire team made me feel very comfortable, welcomed, and enthusiast... ic to help me. I did my insurance intake online, so the confirmation and check in intake when I got there was very easy. During my exam, I was very comfortable and I genuinely feel like they took the time to truly do a thorough exam, while also explaining what was happening if I had questions. At the end of the “1 or 2” options, I was asked to close my eyes and Dr. Kim flipped through the lenses. When she stopped and asked me to look, I saw clearly for the first time in a long time. She also took time to thoroughly explain everything that was happening with my vision. Before this appointment, I had a dental appointment that absolutely brought me to tears solely due to how I was treated, and then again afterwards at my psychiatrists office. The entire highlight of my day was being at Eyeland and having such a positive experience. Thank you so so much to the entire Eyeland Team that I worked with

After reading all of the reviews I was nervous about coming here. I'm glad I came though! I didn't h... ave any problems as the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave me my prescription with no issues and didn't force me to try to buy glasses at all. They asked if I wanted to or not but that was it. I was aware of the retina exam before I came in, but they did tell me before I went back and asked if I was okay with that, which for some people might be a deal breaker as everyone has to do it to be seen there and it cost me $45 as most insurance companies seem to not cover it but I was perfectly fine to pay for it and do the exam. That's my personal preference though so that is something to consider. I love that the online appointment system was easy to set up and that they accepted my insurance (Tricare). The doctors were very nice and knowledgeable. I would come back here again!

We were unsure of what sunglasses to select, Wendy and Christy were great and walking us through the... process. They explained the product in great detail. Wendy's knowledge of selecting the right product for our son put us at ease knowing he was in good hands. We felt confident we picked the right product and will continue to come back for the awesome service. Just like leap year gives that extra day in February, Wendy gives you that extra help you need. Christy is there to complete the dynamic duo. Thanks again!
